Being frightened all night thinking the mother of the two puppies sleeping in my tent's vestibule returning made my night rather restless. Imagine the mothers logic, a complete stranger taking two of her puppies away overnight without asking... As you perhaps read yesterday I tried shooing the pups away but was unsuccessful, when I awoke this morning cautiously poking my head outside my tent I half expected a gigantic beast of a creature pouncing up and ripping off my face - this honestly was what was going through my mind and so I didn't linger, I packed up my stuff and although having the two puppies constantly rummaging through my food bag I packed as fast as humanly possible. Thinking that perhaps the puppies were actually abandoned here I dumped out my leftover dinner that I was going to have for lunch and darted for the main road. The puppies adorably tried to keep up but I knew that if I had slowed down and saw those cute little faces I would have adopted them... I miss them, I really do. Just twenty kilometers, twenty kilometers is all I cycled today. It wasn't especially exciting or scenic as I spent all the morning on the Internet but I did however pull into a camp site on the beach just east of Anamur where I met the woman who ran the place. Pervin, just a lovely women who ran the place. She fed me tea (thats dinner for you non Brits) and showed me the progress of her husbands place in Denmark. This campsite is situated in a near perfect setting with a view of a 2nd century castle thats just a short walk along the beach, gum trees towering overhead the rusted pipes of the outside shower facility but if it wasn't for the trucks drowning out the sounds of the ocean this place would be ideal for anyone wanting a simple escape from the rush of the city. Perfectly simplistic.
The puppies waiting to be fed in the morning.
Some hairdressers in Anamur who offered me tea
