Looking at the forecast yesterday morning it said there was no rain, they were wrong, I was woken to the sound of raindrops hitting my tent so I just waited for it to pass.
I didn't get out onto the road till close to eleven but because I don't have any time constraints other then to be back in Antalya in 3 weeks I can just take my time.
The last couple of days of cycling the terrain hadn't thrown me anything too difficult, today was very much the opposite. Three major and sweaty climbs on roads without shoulders and with construction workers building a new road wanting to greet me at each stop perhaps this is why I didn't get too far today.
When pulling off the main road and down a dirt track looking for a place to camp I came across two adorable little puppies that followed me about and laid rest at the foot of my tent when I had it erect. In hindsight this wasn't a terrific idea because right now as I write this I have the mother barking at me in my tent, reasoning with a dog isn't a smart and so I kicked the little ones out hoping they will go back to there mother...
... Puppies are still in the vestibule, mother has stopped barking...
... I think the mother is just outside my tent, I'm scared and I need to pee...
... I again threw the puppies away from my tent but they came back...
... Something spooked the puppies and they whimpered away. does this mean that there is something scary out there when I eventually do pee?...
... It's dark and I dare not venture away from the 'protection' of my tent...
... Just peed meters outside my tent while still in it...
... Still scared.
... One of the puppies returned, what am I suppose to do?...
... Now the other has returned...
Despite the sign that says "no naked flame in or nearby tent" I cooked dinner inside... The pups started scratching at the tent door so I fed them. They aren't going to leave me and I'm sure I will have to encounter their mother in the morning if not later tonight. Feeding them perhaps wasn't a smart but they were starving, I just hope they weren't abandoned here. I also hope I can leave here without being mauled by their mother.
And the Puppies I mentioned
The puppies at the foot of my tent.
