Like last night, this morning was wet and windy, it wasn't until midday I was able to leave but not before people stopping at the rest area came to check out what the big bright blue tarpaulin that I use for shelter was about.
Why is it that old people are always so stupidly curious about something out of the ordinary eg. Me camping at a rest stop. Surely it's not the first time they have seen someone do this, a group of them just gave me a dumbfounded look, talked amongst themselves and then gave each other dumbfounded looks. I just think that with age things like this would become less of a shock or maybe they were simply going senile.
I tried talking to them but they almost seemed scared of me, so I packed up my things and went on my way.
I, like yesterday didn't take any pictures because there was nothing to take pictures of, even entering Germany I expected a huge monument saying "Velkommin to Deutschland" (or something like that) but there was only a small sign shown in the only pic below.
The rain and the wind came and went today, one moment it would be sunshine and fun but soon after I would be taken off guard and be bucketed on.
Arriving drenched in Flensburg I wanted to continue out of the city and cover a few more kilometers closer to hamburg but getting out of Flensburg was not an easy task, nor did I succeed because it was getting too dark;I'm writing this now in some bushes beside multiple apartment building next to a parking lot where I found some shelter amongst some trees.
Tomorrow I'll have to go to the information center for a map to get out towards hamburg where I'll be seeing another friend.
