It wasnt a good start to the morning, I wanted to leave relatively early but after getting myself organized, showering and making breakfast I didn't get downstairs to where I left my bicycle till 10:30. Someone had tampered with my lock and my key wouldn't work on it, this posed as a bit of an issue for 45 minutes having to ask the road workers nearby to help me break the lock so I could get going. One of the workers dragged the generator the 150 meters to my bike and used an angle grinder to rip the lock apart. Mind you the lock I had up until today was $1.50 that i bought in Canada - maybe ill invest in a better lock when I get to Germany soon.
I took the old highway (170) south from Aarhus Towards Flensburg stopping in a few towns along the way, I was searching for some more fuel for my stove, something that should be able to be purchased in any paint shop. Finding a paint shop in skandarbørg I managed to get the fuel I needed for free, the women working there were great to chat to as I tested different liquids to see which one worked with my stove.
Tomorrow the weather is suppose to be terrible with 40km/h winds from the south, this doesn't work for me and if it the wind is that strong there is no need to cycle especially when the rain is pelting at my face.
I camped on the side of the road when it was getting close to dark in a rest area where I could use a table to support my tarp knowing that the weather was going to turn for the worst.
