Today was another one of those travel days were we spent a hell of a lot of time traveling from Misahuallí back to Quito. Im honestly more tired traveling on a bus for 6 hours than I am cycling for the whole day - damn I miss my bicycle.
We arrived in Quito in the mid afternoon in the rain where i wanted to stay in a hostel that was recommended to me, The Secret Garden - the prices for a dorm bed were ridiculous at $11 that's twice what you pay for a single room in a cheap hotel and the staff volunteering were not the most helpful either but at least the view over the city was amazing.
Later in the evening we went out to the center of old town to celebrate the first day of a week long festival in the city. There was a group of us from the hostel and although I was nackard I really enjoyed the scene, music in the street and the alcoholic hot juice drinks called 'canelazo'.
