I woke up early to get some distance in today but as I was ready to go I had a flat tire, I repaired it once, twice, but then it would be punctured again; I thought it was because I wasnt using the proper tools to pry the tire off the rim but after several patches I found a tiny piece of metal poking through the apparent puncture resistant tire that was the cause of all the issues. All this repairing took up several hours and it wasnt until 10.30 til I was on the highway cycling.
I pushed hard today, I wanted to cover a lot of distance to make up for the last few days in Winnipeg and by the river, I have only 10 days to cycle over 1700km to Toronto to see my folks in time, I know I could get another bus but I really dont want to be doing that. This is going to be tough but im sure ill manage whatever is thrown in my way.
I found a digital camera on the side of the road too, it was an older camera and had been run over several times obviously meaning it was broken but I scored a 4GB memory card and 2 rechargeable batteries out of it so that's always a bonus.
Today I cycled for over 6 hours wit only an hour of stopping time, tomorrow I hope I can make it to the outskirts of Thunder Bay 250km away.
My maximum distance in a day is 210km that I did on the last day in Vietnam, so I hope tomorrow I can beat that.
There isnt much to write up about today as all I really did was cycle.
