Alanya, not an overly pretty city nor is there much to do here but something compelled me to stay for another night. This gave me the day to relax and give my ass some rest from the the past two days of seated punishment. Despite these thoughts of relaxation I decided to cycle about the city and climb up the steep hill to see the castle that was situated on the steep cliff on the shoreline overlooking the city and the surrounding beaches.
The summer time this place is riddled with tourists from mainly Northern Europe and Scandinavia, but at this time of year there were only a few handfuls of people who tried making use of the milder climate and weaker sun by doing nothing other than attempting to sunbath.
For the most part and as I mentioned yesterday the majority of people were the elderly with wrinkled leathery skin who generally looked unhappy. This is their idea of a holiday, miserable and with no plans of the future other than to just pass away thinking that a holiday on the beach will be a remedy of fix the broken relationship with who they use to call their loved one. Please, please, please if I ever end up this way just shoot me in the face.
What I keep telling people is that new experiences are what keep people alive and kicking, a way to unleash, a way to smile and enjoy the short time we have on this world.
I am going to add a well known expression "money cannot buy happiness", "experiences and interaction with others does".
