You’ll have to zoom in to see the terrible 50km of pointless cycling!
Damn, damn, damn. When plotting my route back in Izmir I made a stupidly irritating mistake, I wanted to hit up the coast and stay relatively at sea level so it gets me away from the chill of the mountains. Passing by all the 5 star all inclusive resorts towards Bodrum I found out from many of the locals that the coastal road to Akyaka was inaccessible. This meant I had to turn around back the way I came. Now, if it were 10km, fine, if it were 20km, a little bit shitty but manageable with the time constraints that I have but it was 50km, so 100km of terrain in total that I shouldn't have cycled, that's a typical days worth of cycling!
What's more is that I had to take the mountain pass that was easily one of the hardest climbs I have done on this trip, or ever even.
Well, shit happens I suppose.
I didn't have the time in the day to descend all the way down the mountain to Mugla so I had to find a camping stop at a higher altitude than I am use to, above 400 meters things can get too cold for a decent sleep, but as the storm clouds are moving in tonight and expelling all the liquids inside tomorrow they may trap in the warmth from the day.
I'm really irritated and exhausted at the moment from such a f$ck around day, and with the rain coming tomorrow I may just have to take a shortcut to Antayla.
The 3 only pictures I took after cycling 100km for nothing. hardly worth it
