It was a casual cycle today, I didn't have to cycle far so I took it real easy, stopping every chance I got.
Google maps took me down some unusual paths including a lengthy one down a sandy road only for horses, at least it was the most straight forward route only having to dismount from my bike and walk for less than a kilometer.
The scenery certainly changed when I crossed the border from the Netherlands to Germnay where it became much more, it became hilly I should say. That's good news for me because I like hills, it makes this trip more of a challange.
Just before entering the town of Aachen where I'll be stopping for a couple of days to see the lovely Barbara who I met in Galapogas islands last year I took the backroad into Germany, sneaking in to avoid the now nonexistent border control checkpoints.
I waited around the town waiting for Barbara to finish work - she kept me waiting but the wait was well worth it, it had almost been a year and I was thrilled to see her. I know the next couple of days with her are going to great; we are going to be doing a bit of a road trip around the area visiting holland and Belgium. :)
The three border crossings i took today, from Holland to Germany, into Holland again and back into Germany.
