Sleeping in the bushes last night wasnt all that comfortable because of the wind and rain. Some o my sleeping gear got wet and it was hard to stay warm too.
The passing cars and trucks on the highway beside where I slept kept on waking me too, I really should have looked for a better place to camp last night.
Thankfully the weather had cleared up for today and being unable to sleep-in I started the day early for the 50 odd kilometers to Gothenberg or as the Swedes call it Gøteborg.
The snus I bought in the morning worked wonders and I was averaging a very good speed for the first few hours; Sweden and Norway are the only countries you can purchase this type of tobacco, but also in the states but there it isn't nearly as good.
Like yesterday I made the mistake of thinking I was taking a shortcut but ended up going the wrong direction, I'll try not doing this again but I'm sure it is bound to happen.
I stopped for lunch close to Gothenberg at IKEA where some friends recommended I have the meatballs there, they were cheap, like everything else at IKEA and looked quite good but honestly tasted like the meat in a McDonald's burger rolled up into a ball; so, in other-words, just the off cuts found on the floor of a butcher, but did this stop me from eating it, of course not.
Following the cycle paths into the city center I got to the central station where I organized to meet Jennifer who I met with her friend My (now in Stockholm who I'll be seeing tomorrow) in central America and also Mexico.
was it fantastic to see Jen, she is such a happy, beautiful and generous girl who despite my efforts to pay for the food and alcohol for the evening, refused and paid for everything.
I cooked up a lovely dinner for her and two of her friends,Eric and Jessica and we continued to drink at her place.
Without the need to go out to the bars and drink we chatted into the early hours of the night, playing childish games.
We also looked at if there were any geo caching sites in the area using Eric's phone finding two. For those who don't know what geo caching is it is a worldwide treasure hunt where you use GPS coordinates to find hidden 'treasures' wherever you may be.
Bed time was in the early hours of the morning and it wasn't a too drunken night.
