Getting lost at the end of the day yesterday was shit, this meant I woke up not knowing which direction to head; thankfully for me a woman walking her dog Helped me out as I was packing up my things. Like yesterday I had the winds help pushing me south but every so often the direction of the road would change and I would be blown about the side of the road often into the traffic behind me - I didn't die today, but if I were to be hit by a car at least my 60kg+ bike would come with me because I'm attached to it at my feet, tearing my skin off my calf as I rag dolled (with a bike attached) across the asphalt. Scary thought, but one of those thoughts I shouldnt think about. Enough freaking out mum and dad, I pushed on towards Helsingborg stopping in Angelholm where I had a cheap buffet lunch in a library, I felt a little bad about obliterating the food eating 1/2 the pot of chicken soup; I got a lot of strange looks eating like I hadn't eaten in weeks (which obviously i have) but I was hungry and the chances were I'd never see these people again. Moving onto helsingborg I had all the energy needed to get there, a full stomach, 3 coffees, snus and a somewhat happy tailwind pushing me there. Helsingborg is where I had to get the ferry across to Denmark. I wanted to originally cycle to Malmo where I could catch up with a friend who I met in the US but I would of had to take the train to CPH and also I didn't think I could have made it there today. On the ferry a drunk fisherman approached me and for the excruciating 20 minutes it takes to get to Denmark we tried communicating, for the most part I had no idea what he was on about but I must have done something right because he bought me a shot. I didn't want to cycle into the night to arrive in CPH but a message from Martin who I was staying with and whom I first met in China suggested I make it there. I cycled well fast down the lovely coastal road on the extensively wide paths just for bikes and made it to the city having to ask for directions along the way. Finally making it to martins place I downed a beer and ate some of his stew that he had cooked up (he's also a baker) and we headed out to Christania, a place or 'country' within the city where you can buy pot on the street, drink and eat - its pretty damn incredible. Unfortunately for my readers I don't smoke weed and cannot tell you if the stuff is good but according to Martin it's the shit. One other thing, Martin when I arrived gave me an awesome gift, a powdered spice called KØed grill which I told him about when we were travelling together... he remembered... what a memory!
