Absolutely ruined from climbing both on my bike and by foot to the summit of Mount Fuji I returned to my bike at the fifth station on the Subaru line to descend a road that in no way ascends.... This meant absolutely no peddling involved for 25km !!!
I absolutely gunned it down the mountain as you can see above with my average speed. I did this as I wanted to stay awake using the adrenaline that built up in my body because if I did not there was a good chance that I would have fallen asleep; it at this point I hadn't slept for 25 hours.
Can you guess what I did when I returned to the hostel? Even though I couldn't check in till 3 pm I passed out on the floor of the lounge room for several hours.
