Finally well rested and keen to set off and continue this bicycle trip to... Somewhere south of here.
I'm not really sure, we will see where I'll end up but to get down south I wanted to stay in the mountains.
I'm going to skip talking about my day as it was tough with some hard climbs and stupid tunnels but it wasn't all that exciting. The late afternoon offered a sight of beauty, a waterfall called Shirataki Falls, the onset of autumn colors really showed me a dramatic and visually intense scene that I was able to capture with my camera.
It was certainly off the beaten track and I had to climb a very steep logging road to reach it but it was worth it.
I'm now in my tent a stone throws away from the water crashing down where hopefully tomorrow I will have a misty morning to photograph this epic landscape.
Leaving Aso
The Japanese idea of what a bear looks like.
