After the week I spent in Sape, Sumbawa it was incredibly good to be in the much more happening Labuanbajo, Flores.
Great seafood, snorkeling, diving, island tours, spectacular views and most importantly beaches to laze away the day.
The rundown hostel (although recently opened) I found was cheap too at $5 a night for an air conditioned dorm room accommodating some other down to earth travelers from around the world; these people whom I promptly met I spent the day and evening with tantalizing my taste buds at the seafood street market and refreshing ourselves by consuming chilled beers overlooking the islands out west including Rinca and Komodo (which I organized to go see the dragons tomorrow).
In the 11 weeks I have spent traveling around Indonesia I have near completely cut off drinking beer as for some reason just haven't found it necessary to do so - what I had today was beer number 11 and 12; I am saving a hell of a lot of money limiting my alcohol intake, that's for sure.
My visa expires on the 13th of this month, it almost certain that I cannot cycle to Maumere in a week to extend my visa and as such I need to extend it here.
3 days it takes for the visa process to finalize allowing me to spend another month in the country from the date of process.
I now have all the paperwork filled out and appropriate pages of my passport photocopied so tomorrow before I go on a tour to Komodo island I will hand it in and hang back until my passport has a new visa stamp.
Entering into Labuanbajo where I took my camera onto the streets.
